La Reggia di Caserta, known as the ‘Versailles of Naples’, is the largest royal residence in the world.

The Royal Palace built by the Bourbon family in the 18th century is one of the most sumptuous buildings of its kind in Italy.  In 1997, the palace was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The palace has 5 floors and over 1,200 rooms.

The interior is full of paintings and rich in decorations. The garden stretches in 120 ha, is also inspired by the park of Versailles and it is filled with magnificent fountains, cascades, and statues.
