Located at just an hour from Barcelona, the Penedès is one of the most fascinating wine regions in Spain. If you like wine & cava (Spanish sparkling wine), this tour is a must.

A numerous of wine sorts are produced here since the Phoenician times; dry reds, dry whites, dessert wines and cava (sparkling wine, made like Champagne) all use homegrown grapes. Some of the internationally known varieties that are in the Penedes are Miguel Torres and Jean Leon, together with numerous wineries from the big “Modernistas” to small boutique wines cellars that are still family owned.

 

 You will first visit a cava producer and learn about the process, ending up on a tasting round of delicious cava. After that you will head to a totally different winery and focus on tasting regional wines, followed by and incredible gourmet lunch paired with exquisite Penedes wines.
